SYNOPSIS
The White General is a historical documentary about general Skobelev and the heroic age of Bulgarian liberation. The story is told by famous scholars – military historians, writers and public figures like Boris Vassilev; Aleksei Leonov – aviator, astronaut and president of International Skobelev committee; Prof. Andrey Pantev, Prof. Bojidar Dimitrov – Director of the National History Museum, and others. Unique footage from the beginning of 20th century is used in the film as well as photos from Bulgarian and Russian national archives. The documentary also contains scenes from the feature film Heroes of Shipka and live action re-enactments.
